The Hard Count
by Ginger Scott

I am a huge fan of Ginger Scott so I was very excited to read this book.  This is a stand alone YA romance.  The romance really is secondary to the sports and private school politics.  I LOVED it.
Synopsis:
Nico Medina’s world is eleven miles away from mine. During the day, it’s a place where doors are open—where homes are lived in, and neighbors love. But when the sun sets, it becomes a place where young boys are afraid, where eyes watch from idling cars that hide in the shadows and wicked smoke flows from pipes.

West End is the kind of place that people survive. It buries them—one at a time, one way or another. And when Nico was a little boy, his mom always told him to run.

I’m Reagan Prescott—coach’s daughter, sister to the prodigal son, daughter in the perfect family.
Life on top.
Lies.
My world is the ugly one. Private school politics and one of the best high school football programs in the country can break even the toughest souls. Our darkness plays out in whispers and rumors, and money and status trump all. I would know—I’ve watched it kill my family slowly, strangling us for years.

In our twisted world, a boy from West End is the only shining light.
Quarterback.
Hero.
Heart.
Good.
I hated him before I needed him.
I fell for him fast.
I loved him when it was almost too late.

When two ugly worlds collide, even the strongest fall. But my world…it hasn’t met the boy from West End.

This book is an emotional sports romance.  I loved Reagan Prescott and her love of football and everything that includes.  She is loyal to her family, and her love of the game.  And Nico is a boy from the wrong side of town, but he has so much character.  I loved him!!  This story shows the emotion and politics of high school football and private school drama!  The relationship that develops between Nico and Reagan's father is beautiful.

This book is live now and I highly recommend it!!

Filthy English
by Ilsa Madden-Mills

I was a huge fan of Dirty English so I was super pumped to read about Dax.  This book can be read as a stand alone.

Synopsis:
A smokin’ hot British player…
A jilted girl…
One night of mistaken identity…

Two weeks before her wedding, Remi Montague’s fiancĂ© drops her faster than a drunken sorority girl in stilettos. Armed with her best friend and a bottle of tequila, she hops a plane to London to drown her sorrows before fall semester begins at Whitman University.

She didn't plan on attending a masquerade party. She sure didn’t plan on waking up next to the British bad boy who broke her heart three years ago—the devastatingly handsome and naked Dax Blay. Furthermore, she has no clue how they acquired matching tattoos.

Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London.

But that’s damn hard to do when you live in the same house…
One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime.

This book sucked me in immediately.  This book was full of angst and tons of sexual tension.  Dax was a super sexy British bad boy, and Remi (such a cool name) was sassy and fun!  I love a second chance romance, and this had all of that and more.  I wanted to scream at Dax and Remi occasionally, but I loved them both!
Filthy English is available now, and for a very limited time it is on sale for $.99!  I highly recommend this book, it's full of angst and I adored it!  And the cover is smoking HOT!

Hitched
by Kendall Ryan

Synopsis:

Marry the girl I've had a crush on my whole life? Check.
Inherit a hundred-billion-dollar company? Check.

Produce an heir... Wait, what?

I have ninety days to knock up my brand-new fake wife. There's only one problem--she hates my guts.
And in the fine print of the contract? The requirement that we produce an heir.
She can't stand to be in the same room with me. Says she'll never be in my bed.
I have always enjoyed this author, her book are usually fun light and sexy reads.  This one was a little different.  After reading the synopsis, I was pretty sure I knew what would happen.  Boy loves girl and convinces her to marry him and they fall in love and live happily ever after.  That is not how it goes however.  The characters are fun, Noah was cocky and sexy, and funny.  Olivia was a little harder for me to get on board with, but eventually we got to know her and I felt like I could relate to her.

This is the first book in the series and the end is a cliffy!  The next one comes out on 7/19 though, so not a super long wait!
