Elude
by Rachel Van Dyken
Elude is book 6 in the Eagle Elite series.  This series just keeps getting better and better.  I have loved every single book and I hope the series NEVER ends!!
Synopsis:
Twenty-Four hours before we were to be married--I offered to shoot her.

Ten hours before our wedding--I made a mockery of her dying wish.

Five hours before we were going to say our vows--I promised I'd never love her.

One hour before I said I do--I vowed I'd never shed a tear over her death.

But the minute we were pronounced man and wife--I knew.

I'd only use my gun to protect her.

I'd give my life for hers.

I'd cry.

And I would, most definitely, lose myself, to a dying girl---a girl who by all accounts should have never been mine in the first place.

I always believed the mafia would be my end game--poisoning my heart, while it claimed my soul. I could have never imagined. It would be my redemption.

Or the beginning of something beautiful.

The beginning of her.

The end of us.
I was not excited about Sergio going into this book, but in true Rachel Van Dyken style, she made me love him.  And I loved Andi from the very beginning.  She was sweet, funny, a little bad ass, and sexy.  I loved Sergio and Andi together.  This book made me laugh and cry.  I was torn between hating the author and also congratulating on such a heart wrenching story.

I loved this book, as with every other book in this series.  These book are not standalones.  All the characters show up in all the books, so you should read all of them.  But they are all amazing and will not disappoint!!  Elude releases on 7/9, but is available for pre order now for the bargain price of $.99!!!

Spark
by Erin Noelle
I have read a few other books by this author so I always pay attention to her releases.  This one was intriguing and completely different sounding.
Synopsis:
I'm failing.
My younger brother is getting worse, and my job - my duty - is to help him at all costs. We've tried everything modern medicine has to offer and nothing works.
Nothing.
Deciding to turn to unconventional treatments, we end up at Fire-on-the-Mountain, a holistic resort deep in the Rockies.
In our search for medical marijuana, I find beautiful, free-spirited Hudson Shavell - a girl who may not only hold the key to heal my brother, but to fix me as well. Even though I can't afford distractions right now, she's all I can think about. All that I want.
It's funny how everything can change with one little SPARK.

This book sucked me in right away.  I loved Hudson immediately!  She was sweet and funny and smart.  And Crew was sexy, and arrogant, but also completely devoted to his family.  The marijuana aspect of this story was something totally different for me, but also educational.  It made me see the positive benefits of medical marijuana, and the science that goes into it.  This story was sexy, sweet, and heart breaking at times.  At times I wanted to punch Crew, but I also wanted to hug him.  A great love story and I can't wait for more.

Spark is the first in a series, but it is a stand alone, each book is about a different sister of Hudson's.  She has a lot of sisters, so I see many more books in our future.  Spark is available now and I highly recommend it!  A  star read for me for sure!!

The Song of David
by Amy Harmon

The Song of David is the followup to The Law of Moses, which was absolutely amazing, so I was excited to get into The Song of David.  This book is Tag's story, we meet him in The Law of Moses.

Synopsis:
I won my first fight when I was eleven years old, and I’ve been throwing punches ever since. Fighting is the purest, truest, most elemental thing there is. Some people describe heaven as a sea of unending white. Where choirs sing and loved ones await. But for me, heaven was something else. It sounded like the bell at the beginning of a round, it tasted like adrenaline, it burned like sweat in my eyes and fire in my belly. It looked like the blur of screaming crowds and an opponent who wanted my blood.
For me, heaven was the octagon.

Until I met Millie, and heaven became something different. I became something different. I knew I loved her when I watched her stand perfectly still in the middle of a crowded room, people swarming, buzzing, slipping around her, her straight dancer’s posture unyielding, her chin high, her hands loose at her sides. No one seemed to see her at all, except for the few who squeezed past her, tossing exasperated looks at her unsmiling face. When they realized she wasn’t normal, they hurried away. Why was it that no one saw her, yet she was the first thing I saw?

If heaven was the octagon, then she was my angel at the center of it all, the girl with the power to take me down and lift me up again. The girl I wanted to fight for, the girl I wanted to claim. The girl who taught me that sometimes the biggest heroes go unsung and the most important battles are the ones we don’t think we can win.

This book was amazing and hear wrenching.  I loved Tag and Millie's story.  This story was told in a different way and completely sucked me in.  We met Tag in The Law of Moses, he came to be Moses's best friend.  He has come a long way since Moses and him became friends, and I loved him in this book.  The story is told almost completely through cassette tapes that Tag makes, we get totally in his head.  This book is an emotional journey through an amazing love story and I cannot recommend it enough.

Technically this book is stand alone, but I highly recommend that you read The Law of Moses first.  The characters reappear in The Song of David.  Amy Harmon is a true artist.  Her writing is flawless and I would recommend all of her books, but Moses and Tag may be my new faves!!

Fury by Fisher Amelie
Book 3 in the Seven Deadly Sins Series

Fury is finally live.  It is Book 3 in the series but can be read as a standalone.  If you haven't read Vain and Greed I highly recommend them though, they are amazing.

Synopsis:
Revenge is an euphoric thing. Trust me on this. Nothing compares to the release you get when you ruin someone’s life. When they’ve stolen important things. Things that didn’t belong to them. Things I revel in making them pay for.
What? Have I offended you? I’m not here to appeal to your delicate senses. I have no intention of placating your wishes or living within your personal belief system nor do I care if you hate me. And you will hate me. Because I’m a brutal, savage, cold-blooded murderer and I’m here for my revenge.
I’m Ethan Moonsong...And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most sacrificing man to the most feared and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

Fall For Me
by JC Emery

Fall for Me is book one in the Ladder Company Series.  When I read that this was about fireman, I said, of course, sign me up.

Synopsis:
Melanie Kincaid is a trust-fund baby with a knack for sassy comebacks and unnecessarily complicating her privileged life. So, of course she would have to fall in love with a man she can't have.
Jameson Hayes is a NYC firefighter for Manhattan’s oldest ladder company with big shoes to fill and a city to protect. He’s strong, sexy, and not looking for the complications Melanie brings. But he can't stay away from her either. The attraction between them is immediate and the pull between them is crazy powerful. But she's only home for the summer and long-distance relationships never work.
Unfortunately, Melanie’s beauty and smart mouth are a lethal combination and Jameson isn't the only Hayes who's interested. As if his brother isn't enough to compete with, now the city's most famous arsonist wants to claim her as his next prize. Jameson can't stand to watch Melanie get hurt and she can't seem to keep herself out of trouble.

Fall for Me is the first Ladder Company novel, a stand-alone companion series about New York's most elite firefighting family with hot alpha heroes, snarky heroines, and an arsonist hell-bent on destruction.

I fell for Jameson almost immediately.  He's a strong, sexy firefighter, but he also has a girlfriend. Jameson and Melanie have an instant connection, but it drove me crazy that he would not break up with his girlfriend.  As the story progresses, we get a little more about why, but it still drove me a little crazy.  Melanie was a ton of fun and I loved her.  She had a smart mouth and she was strong.  There was also a little mystery going on too, which added to the story for sure.  I loved that we weren't sure where it was going.  The banter between Melanie and Jameson was fun, and occasionally frustrating.  But I loved that Melanie was honest and laid it all out!

This is the first in a series, but the end is not a cliffhanger.  There is a few things not resolved, which I hope are in the next book.  This book will be live on 4/30, so make sure and grab a copy.  It's a fun and sexy read, I would give it 4 strong stars.

Pretty Remedy
by SE Hall
This is the follow up book to Pretty Instinct, and can technically be read as a stand alone. (But you should read Pretty Instinct cause it's awesome)  I adored Pretty Instinct and I have been anxiously waiting for this book.  I loved Rhett in that book, and he did not disappoint in this one either.  Rhett was sexy and brooding, and occasionally made me want to strangle him.  But I loved him!  Reece was a fantastic female character.  She was strong and funny and sweet, and I loved Reece and Rhett together.  I was also happy that we got a little bit of Liz and Cannon.  The banter between Rhett and Reece was fantastic and I enjoyed seeing Rhett come out of his shell.  The whole story is sexy, and not cause of the sex, because that doesn't happen until later in the story.  The build up of the relationship is excellent.
Synopsis:
Envy is a silent, cold-blooded killer, extinguishing a little more life from me every day.

Hitting sharp, fast and seemingly out of nowhere; struck by lightning not a storm cloud in sight... in she rolls. Reece Kelly, a force to be reckoned with, head of the class- which means one thing- she's out of mine.

"You're wasting your time Rhett Foster. Locks have keys and walls can be climbed. I'm not buying your broody, skeptical act for one minute."

And then there's that...

But as much as she compels me to open up, show her what no one else gets to see...there's guilty shadows lurking in the depths of her eyes that she cannot hide.

I highly recommend this book, It is a solid 5 star read.  If you haven't met Cannon and Rgett yet. I highly recommend both books!!

Beyond These Walls
by JL Berg

Beyond These Walls is a second in a series, and you MUST read the first book, Within These Walls first.  But Within These Walls can be read as a standalone.  Within These Walls is tied up nicely at the end, but I really enjoyed getting more of Jude and Lailah.  Jude and Lailah are great characters, Jude is sexy and so sweet.  And Lailah is amazing and strong.  Usually when I read books there is at least a few times when I want to strangle one, or both of the characters, and I didn't do that in this book.  If you have not read Within These Walls, you should go read it now, and then come back and finish reading this review

Synopsis:
Happily ever after.

That was what we were supposed to have.

Pudding cups, sandy toes and a lifetime of making each and every one of our dreams come true--that is the future I'd promised her.
I could see it in my dreams, hold it in my hands, but then I watched as all of our hopes and wishes suddenly slipped through my fingers like sand.

I thought the worst was behind us, but what if we'd just delayed the inevitable?
They say love can overcome any obstacle. But can it survive death?

I read Within These Walls, and thought, well what can happen in the next book!  But a lot happens, and mostly we just get more Jude and Lailah.
