Cowboy Up
Harper Sloan

This is the third book in this series, and it was a perfect ending to the series.

Synopsis:
As the eldest Davis, Clayton has always tried to lead by example. He takes his job as head of the family businesses seriously, making sure the farm and auto shop are running smoothly—along with keeping an eye on his brother and sister. For him, there's a time and place to let go of the control he holds with an iron grip. And with the way he grew up, coupled with disastrous end to his last relationship, he's just fine with his quiet, solitary life.

Most of the time.

What he hadn't counted on was cute, quirky, shy bookstore owner, Caroline Michaels. She's the proverbial woman next door—well, the next town over, that is. Caroline hasn't lived an easy life, but after escaping an abusive ex, she's finally living it for herself. The last thing she ever expected was a one-night stand with Clay Davis, a night she can't stop thinking about.

So when she falls on hard times and Clay comes out of nowhere to her rescue, she realizes just how impossible it'll be to stay away from him. Now all she has to do is convince him to live a little...

Will Clay be able to give up the reins and finally settle down? And, more importantly, will Caroline muster enough courage to lasso him up?

We meet Clay in the previous books, and he played a huge roll.  I was excited to get his story.  And Caroline was sweet and a little broken, and her story was incredibly heartbreaking.  I loved seeing her come out of her shell with Clay.  This story was very insta love, but every now and then, I love that.

This was a great ending to this series.  We got tons of the other couples and I loved seeing there stories continue.  This was a great series, with sexy cowboys and sassy heroines.  I highly recommend the whole thing.  This book does need to be read after the other 2.
Cowboy Up comes out tomorrow, but is available now for pre order

Bad at Love
by Karina Halle

Bad at Love is a brand new friends to lovers story.  It is a complete stand alone.

Synopsis:
She's bad at love, but he's even worse...
Marina is hot, blonde, and wickedly smart, but when it comes to men? She's hopeless. Between her quirks and her lack of filter, there isn't a man in Los Angeles that will stick around after the third date.

Her handsome, charming friend Lazarus has the opposite problem. Everyone wants to be the sexy Brit's girlfriend, but he gets bored and moves on quickly.

There's only one way to figure out why neither of them has cracked this love thing-- they'll date each other. On paper, it's the perfect experiment. But in reality, things between Marina and Laz get complicated quickly.

They might be bad at love, but they are even worse at being friends.

I fell in love with these characters.  Marina was sweet and a little quirky.  And Laz was a sexy, brooding and british hottie.  This was a sweet and sexy as well as angsty friends to lovers story.  They had such funny and awkward banter, they cracked me up.  But also broke my heart at certain times.  I loved these 2, and I loved every second of the journey, even when I wanted to yell at them both!!!

Bad at Love is available now, and is free if you have Kindle Unilimited!!  This an epic friends to lovers story, and I highly recommend it!!

Spider
by Ilsa Madden Mills

Spider is a complete stand alone, we do meet Spider in another series, but this book can be read as a stand alone.

Synopsis:

He calls himself Spider.

I just knew him as the sinfully gorgeous guy with eyes of fire that fate sat next to me on the airplane.

I didn't know who he really was...British rock star...my stepbrother.

He kissed me because he thought we'd never see each other again. We would.

Everyone warned me about him.
They told me he was ruthless and cold and screwed up.
They said he'd leave me with a hole in my heart.

Maybe I should have listened.
Maybe I should have built up a fortress to keep him out.
But I crumbled instead.

They say an unbreakable thread connects those who are destined to meet. If that's true, then the moment he sat next to me, we were bound together forever.

He just had to figure it out before it's too late...

I was sucked into this story from the very beginning.  I both loved and hated Spider.  He had moments where he was sweet and sexy, and then moments where he was destructive and I wanted to punch him.  And Rose was so sweet and young, and parts of the story just killed me.  This is an emotional, sexy, and somewhat heartbreaking coming of age story.  I loved how the relationship progressed, but also, it made me so sad at times.

This is an emotional, well written angsty read, and I loved it.  I highly recommend it, and it is available now!!  It is also on Kindle Unlimited

The Outpost
by Devney Perry

I loved this whole series, but this one might be my fave.   This can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the whole series.

Synopsis:

Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn't expect to fall for his big heart.

Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn’t exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article’s success, she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.

Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he’s a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won’t be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn’t as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.

I absolutely fell in love with Beau and Sabrina.  We meet Beau early on in the series, but we don't really know much about him.  He is amazing!!  He is sweet, and sexy and completely devoted to his job and his family.  I adored him.  And Sabrina was a mess, but in such a heartbreaking way.  I felt so much for her, and I wanted to hug her.  This story is definitely a slow burn, and I was completely sucked in!!  I loved how the relationship grew, and at the same time they broke my heart.
This series has been one of my favorites of 2017!!  I highly recommend them all, and especially The Outpost.  They are all emotional, sexy, and incredibly well written!  And I know at least one more book is coming.
The author is giving away 2 $250 amazon gift cards as well signed paperbacks, so make sure and enter!!

This book is available now, as well as the first 3 in the series

This is a brand new stand alone from Aurora Rose Reynolds.  I am a hige fan of hers, and this one did not disappoint!

Synopsis:
Colton and Gia are from Until June
Colton Allyster is relieved to be back home. After a year of rehabilitation, losing his career as a Marine along with his fiancĂ©, he’s had to learn quickly what’s really important. Colton grew up wanting to serve his country. Managing his parents’ biker bar was never part of his plan, but after meeting Gia Caro, he’s beginning to think that’s exactly where he’s meant to be.

Ever since Gia Caro arrived in the small, sleepy town of Ruby Falls, Tennessee, her life has spiraled out of control. Between losing her grandmother a little more each day to dementia, and her hot boss’s constant attention, her once quiet existence isn’t so quiet anymore.

We meet Colton and Gia in Until June, but this can be read as a standalone.  I loved this characters in this story.  Gia was a strong and sassy girls, and Colton was a sexy alpha.  There was some angst, but not too much, and it was super sexy.  Colton was the perfect cocky alpha, and this story sucked me right in.  This was well written and flowed very well.
This book is live and available now.  If you are a fan of cocky alpha males, and a great story, this is a great one.

I loved this book!!  It was sweet and incredibly heartbreaking.  I loved seeing all the characters from the original series.  This technically could be read as a standalone but I think if you read the Beaumont series you will get so much more out of it.  This book had me sucked in from the very beginning.  It is incredibly well written and I had no idea how they were going to work everything out.  I loved it!!  And I cannot wait for more in this series.

Sweet Time
by Nina Lane

Sweet Time is the 4th book in the Sugar Rush series, but it can be read as a standalone.  I read this one without having read the previous books in the series, and I didn't feel like I was missing anything.

Synopsis:
Stuck in a boring insurance job, vivacious Mia Donovan has spent the last few years searching for her life's true path. She fills her time helping plan the wedding of her best friend to the CEO of the Sugar Rush Candy Company.

Mia has also been trying to attract the impossibly rigid Sugar Rush security chief Gavin Knight. But for well over a year, the unyielding Mr. Knight has ignored her, despite her short skirts, tight sweaters, and patently obvious flirting. And when he finally approaches her, it's only to assess the wedding plans for potential security risks.

A former soldier, Gavin has intercepted hostile anonymous letters threatening the high-profile wedding. Determined to keep everyone safe, he's forced to work with the maddeningly sexy Miss Donovan of the thousand-watt charm and irresistible body.

Irked by Gavin's many months of disregard, Mia takes her teasing flirtations to a whole new level. But her coquettish ways are no match for the edgy, lust-fueled dominant he conceals behind his impassive exterior. And when Gavin exerts his full control, Mia discovers he can protect everything except her heart.

I really enjoyed this book.  I fell in love with the characters from the beginning.  Mia is hilarious and sassy.  And Gavin was super alpha and broody.  Watching them dance around each other was a ton of fun.

This was a fun and sexy read, but also with a little suspense thrown in.  I did read this as a standalone, but I enjoyed it so much I think I am going to go back and read the first three books.
This and the first three books are available now!!  And right now, the first book is free!

Exes with Benefits
by Nicole Williams

Nicole Williams has quickly become one of my go to authors, her stories always suck me in!!

Synopsis:
The only benefit I want from my ex is a divorce.

We got married for all the wrong reasons. The one thing we got right was our separation. I should have known better than to think I could bet on forever with a guy like Canaan Ford. Everything about him screamed impermanent, from his wild eyes to his restless soul.

When I left him and the small town I’d spent my whole life in, I swore I’d never go back. Never only turned out to be five years. Canaan claims he’s changed, but he hasn’t—same knowing smile, same rough demeanor, same body crafted from sin and sinew. And yet, something is different. He thinks this is his chance for redemption. My disagreement comes in the form of divorce papers dropped in his lap. He refuses to sign them. Unless . . .

He wants a month to prove himself to me—that’s his offer. One month to make me fall in love with him again and if I don’t, he’ll sign the papers. As much as I want to say no, I agree. I can suffer my ex for a short amount of time if that’s what it takes to be free of him once and for all. I fell for him once; I won’t make that same mistake twice.

He says we’re not over. I say we were over before we got started. Only one of us can be right, and I can’t let it be him.

I adored this book!  This is a great second chance romance, with some heartbreak thrown in.  I fell in love with Canaan from the beginning.  He made some mistakes, but he more than made up for them.  And Maggie made me a little crazy!  I understood her apprehension on some level, but I wanted to shake her a little too.  I loved learning about the past, and watching them move past it.

This is available now, and I highly recommend it.  It is a stand alone, and so so good.

Hate To Love You
by Tijan

This is a new stand alone from Tijan.  This is a YA story with the perfect amount of angst, I loved it.

Synopsis:
Rule #1: No hot guys.
It might sound ridiculous. I get it. It kind of was, but college was supposed to be my sanctuary. It was my place to start over. The rumors, the whispers, and the jealousy I endured through high school would all be gone.
No one would know me at college.

Rule #2: No drama.
I’d major in pre-law. I’d make a few loyal friends. Everything would be easy-breezy. No one was going to use me or hurt me. I wouldn’t let them.

Rule #3: New year. New place. New me.
Right?
Wrong.
And all because of Shay Coleman.

Football captain and quarterback, he was the big guy on campus. The cocky guy in my political science class with a smirk. I hated him on sight . . .

. . . and he was about to break all my rules.

This is a perfect college aged, enemies to lovers story.  Kennedy cracked me up with her rules.  She was above and beyond with her ideas.  And Shay was a sexy, alpha and I loved him from the beginning.
This book does tackle some serious issues with college students right now.  It was a little different than the normal Tijan books.  But it does plenty of angst and sexiness to deliver.  I really enjoyed it.

This book is live and available now!!  If you are a YA fan, you should definitely read this one!!  If you have read and enjoyed Fallen Crest, this is right up your ally!!

The Lucky Heart
by Devney Perry

Devney Perry has quickly become one of my go to authors.  Her stories are emotional and full of alpha males.  I love them!

Synopsis:
Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.
Felicity’s life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl’s high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend’s best friend. Girl leaves them both behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend’s funeral. Now she’s back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She’s got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for sixteen years.
Silas doesn’t need much. He’s got a great horse, close friends and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He’s not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she’s returned to Prescott, he’s got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he’ll get the girl he should have had all along.
We met Silas and Felicity in previous books, but this can be read as a standalone.  I loved Silas from the beginning, but Felicity was a B when we saw her before.  I loved getting to know her and seeing her past.  She is sassy and an excellent I loved that they go there HEA!  I love every book in this series, so even though this is a standalone, I recommend the whole series.  I can't wait to see what happens next!

This is live and available now, and I highly recommend it.  It is a sweet and sexy alpha small town romance!!

Royally Endowed
by Emma Chase

I loved the first 2 books in this series, and I couldn't wait to read this one.  And it was so so good!!!

Synopsis:
Logan St. James is a smoldering, sexy beast. Sure, he can be a little broody at times—but Ellie Hammond’s willing to overlook that. Because, have you seen him??

Sexy. As. Hell.

And Ellie’s perky enough for both of them.

For years, she’s had a crush on the intense, protective royal security guard—but she doesn’t think he ever saw her, not really.

To Logan, Ellie was just part of the job—a relative of the royal family he’d sworn to protect. Now, at 22 years old and fresh out of college, she’s determined to put aside her X-rated dreams of pat-downs and pillow talk, and find a real life happily ever after.

The Queen of Wessco encourages Ellie to follow in her sister’s footsteps and settle down with a prince of her own. Or a duke, a marquis…a viscount would also do nicely.

But in the pursuit of a fairy tale ending, Ellie learns that the sweetest crushes can be the hardest to let go.
***
Logan St. James grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, in a family on the wrong side of the law. But these days, he covers his tattoos and scars with a respectable suit. He’s handsome, loyal, brave, skilled with his hands and…other body parts.

Any woman would be proud to bring him home to her family.

But there’s only one woman he wants.

For years he’s watched over her, protected her, held her hair back when she was sick, taught her how to throw a punch, and spot a liar.

He dreams of her. Would lay down his life for her.

But beautiful Ellie Hammond’s off-limits.

Everybody knows the bodyguard rules:
Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love.

I loved Nicolas and Henry, but Logan was on a whole new level.  He was broody, and sexy, and a perfect alpha.  And I adored Ellie, her inner dialogue was hilarious.  This story spans about 5 years and I loved that.  Watching how Logan and Ellie's relationship progressed was so fun.  We got so much insight into both of there feelings.  We also get a good amount of the other couples, which was so much fun!!  This was a perfect last book to this series, it tied up everyone's story perfectly.

Royally Endowed is live and available now!!  It is sexy, sweet, and so good!!  I highly recommend it.

The Beauty of Us
by Kristen Proby

I am in love with Kristen Proby!!  I devour everything she writes, so I as always, I couldn't wait for this one.

Synopsis:
Riley Gibson is over the moon at the prospect of having her restaurant, Seduction, on the Best Bites TV network. This could be the big break she’s been waiting for. But the idea of having an in-house show on a regular basis is a whole other matter. Their lives would be turned upside down, and convincing Mia, her best friend and head chef of Seduction, that having cameras in her kitchen every day is a good idea is daunting. Still, Riley knows it’s an opportunity she can’t afford to pass on. And when she meets Trevor Cooper, the show’s executive producer, she’s stunned by their intense chemistry.
Trevor’s sole intention is to persuade Riley to allow Best Bites TV to do a show on her restaurant. But when he walks into Riley’s office, he stops dead in his tracks. The professional, aloof woman on the phone is incredibly beautiful and funny. But can he convince her that he’s interested in Riley for himself? Or is he using the undeniable pull between them to persuade her to agree to his offer?

I love all of Kristen Proby's books.  They are always fun and sexy, and this one didn't disappoint.  I loved Riley and Trevor.  Riley was funny and sassy, and I want to be her!! Trevor was such a good guy, even when he was a little clueless, and super sexy.  This is a fun and sexy read that is a perfect end of summer read!!  I love this whole series!
The Beauty of Us releases on 8/22 and is available for pre order now.  If you pre order, you will also get a sneak preview of her new series!

Wish You Were Here
by Renee Carlino

I am a huge Renee Carlino fan, and I was so excited to get my hands on this book.

Synopsis:
You know when you’re looking at someone and you can’t help but smile at how oblivious they are to their own charm? That’s what was happening to me, and it was making me feel…happy. Euphoric. Something indescribable. It was like we already knew each other, like we had met in a previous life. Memories that didn’t exist began exploding in my mind like fireworks.
Charlotte has spent her twenties adrift, searching for a spark to jump-start her life and give her a sense of purpose. She’s had as many jobs as she’s had bad relationships, and now she’s feeling especially lost in her less-than-glamorous gig at a pie-and-fry joint in Los Angeles, where the uniforms are bad and the tips are even worse.

Then she collides—literally—with Adam, an intriguing, handsome, and mysterious painter. Their serendipitous meeting on the street turns into a whirlwind one-night stand that has Charlotte feeling enchanted by Adam’s spontaneity and joy for life. There’s promise in both his words and actions, but in the harsh light of morning, Adam’s tune changes, leaving Charlotte to wonder if her notorious bad luck with men is really just her own bad judgment.

Months later, a new relationship with Seth, a charming baseball player, is turning into something more meaningful, but Charlotte’s still having trouble moving past her one enthralling night with Adam. Why? When she searches for answers, she finds the situation with Adam is far more complicated than she ever imagined. Faced with the decision to write a new story with Seth or finish the one started with Adam, Charlotte embarks on a life-altering journey, one that takes her across the world and back again, bringing a lifetime’s worth of pain, joy, and wisdom.

This was an emotional read that I could not put down.  It's a story about love, loss and soul mates.  I loved Adam and Charlotte and Seth.  I loved Charlotte and her misdirection.  I could totally relate to her.  This is a beautiful and heartbreaking story that I cannot say enough good things about.  This a tear jerker, but don't let that out you off!!

I adored this book and I highly recommend it.  It is a beautiful and heart breaking story that totally consumed me.  It comes out tomorrow, but it available for pre order now.

The Darkest Sunrise
by Aly Martinez

This is book 1 in The Darkest Sunrise duet.  And it is amazing!

Synopsis:
Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me.
Bullshit.
Words destroyed me.
“I’m sorry. She didn’t make it.”
“Daddy, he can’t breathe!”
“There’s nothing more we can do for your son.”
Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me.
Lies.
Those syllables and letters became my executioner. I told myself that, if I didn’t acknowledge the pain and the fear, they would have no power over me. But, as the years passed, the hate and the anger left behind began to control me.
Two words—that was all it took to plunge my life into darkness.
“He’s gone.”
In the end, it was four soft, silky words that gave me hope of another sunrise.
“Hi. I’m Charlotte Mills.”

I was sucked into this book from Page 1.  This was a heartbreaking story will all kinds of twists and turns.  This book made me cry and laugh in the same chapter.  This is a story about two broken people trying to find there way out of the darkness together.  I loved Charlotte and Porter.  Charlotte was broken and so so sad.  And Porter was angry and trying to figure out how to move on.  As we discovered new details, I was pretty sure I knew how this story was going to go.  But I had no idea how we were going to get there.  And it was so incredibly heart wrenching when we did get there.  This book is amazing, and it does end on a cliffhanger.  But Book 2 comes out on July 27, so no worries!  I have read the conclusion, and it's perfect!  I cannot say enough good things about this book, and I think everyone should read it!

Kiss My Boots
by Harper Sloan

Kiss My Boots is book in the Coming Home Series., I loved Book 1 and I was so excited for this one.  We met Quinn in book 1 and I wanted to know her story

Synopsis:
In this second of the sultry, Western-set Coming Home series from New York Times bestselling author Harper Sloan, Quinn Davis might finally have a shot at her own happily-ever-after—but will she let love in, or will she tell it to go ahead and kiss her boots?

Quinn Davis prefers to live her life quietly. She’s the stereotypical tomboy with two overprotective big brothers who have always been there to protect her, especially from devilishly handsome cowboys with silver tongues. That is, until Tate Montgomery comes riding into town. Their first meeting, however, is far from something out of a fairy tale and only further convinces Quinn that men aren’t worth her time.

The only place Tate Montgomery ever truly felt at home growing up was during the long, sweltering summer months he spent at his Gram and Paw’s farm in Pine Oak, Texas. Now, Tate has returned to his childhood sanctuary seeking a fresh start—but if he’s being entirely honest, he’s not just back for the wranglers and Stetsons. During those summers, Quinn was a friend-turned-young-love who Tate lost when life threw him a curveball and he cut all ties to his past; but all it takes is one glance at the raven-haired beauty he did his best to forget for him to realize just how much he’s been missing….

I love this southern cowboy romance.  Quinn is hilarious, and Tate is a sexy talking cowboy.  This a sweet and sexy second chance romance.  It is surprisingly low on angst, which is nice sometimes.

The chemistry between Tate and Quinn is instant.  And watching them find each other again was really beautiful.  I loved that Quinn was a mechanic, that was a fun twist.  This is not a normal Harper Sloan book, but I really enjoyed it.  It's a sexy and easy to read book, a great Summer read.

This book is available now, as well as book 1.

Meanwhile, Edie and John are pulled back into the dangerous world they narrowly escaped. They were lucky to survive the first time, but this time they have more to lose—each other.

I was sucked into this story from the very first page.  This book opens with a life changing, incredibly scary event.  This is a little dark, but such an incredible story.  I loved Edie and John.  Edie was funny, and sassy, and so relatable.  I saw myself in her so many times throughout the story.  And John was swoony and sexy, and also trying to figure out who he was.

Trust was an amazing jump into YA for Kylie Scott.  It was a realistic and amazing journey from beginning to end.  I couldn't put it down!  I cannot say enough good things about this book.

Jilted
by Sawyer Bennett

Jilted in a new standalone from Sawyer Bennett

Synopsis:
Eden Goodnight went to Los Angeles to make it big, not to be publicly humiliated by her cheating fiancĂ© at a red-carpet premiere. But when Eden returns to her hometown to put the scandal behind her, she can barely find a sympathetic shoulder to cry on. Turns out the locals are worse than the paparazzi, and they all think she’s turned into a spoiled brat. But in a strange twist of fate, the one person who seems to understand what Eden’s going through is Cooper Mayfield . . . the boy she left behind.

Small-town charm is no match for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. At least that’s what Coop’s been telling himself all these years. As Eden’s old flame—and the landscaper for her family’s historic home—Coop feels some responsibility for getting her out of her funk. But as soon as he sees that million-dollar smile, he’s a goner. Soon they’re making out like teenagers again. But when a life-changing role falls into Eden’s lap, Coop just hopes she doesn’t give up on a love that’s meant to be.

Sawyer Bennett is such a diverse writer.  She has the ability to write all kinds of different characters and stories, and I love all of them.
This is a great second chance story about first loves and finding that again.  The chemistry between Eden and Coop was immediate and I was sucked in right from the start.  Coop was sexy and made me swoon.  And Eden was strong and funny, and a little sad too.  I loved the dynamic between the two.
This is a quick sexy read, with just the right amount of angst.  This is a perfect Summer read!!!

Jilted is live and available now, if you are looking for a quick and sexy read this Summer, this one fits the bill.

Steal
by Rachel Van Dyken

Steal is a brand new stand alone in the Seaside Pictures series.  I love the whole series, but this one was my favorite for sure.

Synopsis:
It's easy to lose yourself in someone you love.
Easier to lose yourself in someone you hate…
I didn't think it could get any worse than having to babysit a bunch of spoiled musicians on set — keeping them out of trouble is a cakewalk compared to seeing my ex every day.
Seaside, Oregon isn't big enough for the both of us.
She hates me.
I loathe her.
The plan was simple — stay the hell away and make sure she gets to set on time.
What I didn't expect was to be faced with our past in front of an audience — and be forced to face it again.
It's torture.
The way she looks at me.
The way I try to look through her.
Words left unsaid.
The lingering aftermath still as powerful as ever.
I feed the chasm between us, for fear that she'll make me feel again — and steal the last shred of heart I have left.
We have everything but each other.
It's not enough.
Not when you've lost love.
And replaced it with the only thing left — hate.

I fell in love with this book right away.  I loved the characters.  I went in prepared to hate Angelica.  We meet her in previous book and she was a giant B!  But as we got to know her and her back story, I wanted to hug her.  She was sweet and vulnerable, but also a little broken.  And Will, swoon!!  He was angry and bitter, but also sad, and HOT!  And he used to be in a boy band, which cracks me up!!  And as always with RVD, the background characters are always such a huge part of the story.  And this book is listed as a stand alone, but I really think if you hadn't read the previous books in the series, you would be missing out.

I adored this book.  This book had tons of angst, and all the feels, and so so funny!  I highly recommend this whole series, but especially this book!  And for today, it's only $.99 so grab it quick!

The Catch
by K Bromberg

This is the much awaited follow up to The Player.  I loved The Player, and it ended on quite the cliffhanger, I couldn't wait to read the conclusion!

Synopsis:
After an unexpected twist of fate, All-Star catcher Easton Wylder is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him.

Even the woman who shares his bed, Scout Dalton.

But if Easton thought being uprooted to the last place he expected was the only challenge life had to throw at him, he was dead wrong.

With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything – Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome. The secret he’s never shared with anyone.

He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he’s hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.

I fell in love with these characters in The Player.  The Player ends with Easton being traded to and unknown team, and we had no idea how it was all gonna play out.  This book had all the feels!  Tons of twists and turns, and plendty of drama.  Every time I thought, they have it all figured out, something else would come up and rock the boat.  This was a beautiful ending to a great love story.  I loved this duet, and I would put it right up there with The Driven series.

Both books in this duet are available now.  The Catch cannot be read as a stand alone, you must have read The Player first.  I love them both and highly recommend them!!

The Impossible Vastness of Us
by Samantha Young

I am a huge Samantha Young fan, as well as a YA fan, so I was very excited to read this one.

Synopsis:
India Maxwell hasn’t just moved across the country—she’s plummeted to the bottom rung of the social ladder. It’s taken years to cover the mess of her home life with a veneer of popularity. Now she’s living in one of Boston’s wealthiest neighborhoods with her mom’s fiancĂ© and his daughter, Eloise. Thanks to her soon-to-be stepsister’s clique of friends, including Eloise’s gorgeous, arrogant boyfriend Finn, India feels like the one thing she hoped never to be seen as again: trash.
But India’s not alone in struggling to control the secrets of her past. Eloise and Finn, the school’s golden couple, aren’t all they seem to be. In fact, everyone’s life is infinitely more complex than it first appears. And as India grows closer to Finn and befriends Eloise, threatening the facades that hold them together, what’s left are truths that are brutal, beautiful, and big enough to change them forever…

I really enjoyed this story, and the characters were awesome.  While there are some romance aspects in this story, it is really more about growing up and building relationships.  This is a great coming of age story about deciding who you are and what you want to be.
I loved how the relationship developed between India, Eloise, and Finn.  I also wanted a little more at the end.  This was a great story, but it ended a little abruptly for me.
This book is not out yet, but comes out next week and is available for pre order now.  Pre Order Link

Eight
by ES Carter

This is book 6 in the Love by Numbers series, but can be read as standalone.  We met Josh and knew a little of his story in previous books, and I couldn't wait to read more.

Synopsis:
I'm sorry for your loss.
Why do people say that?
When someone you love is taken from you, when a part of you dies along with them, you haven't lost them like you would your car keys or mobile phone. They aren't stuck down the side of the sofa or left in the ignition of your car for you to find later. You haven't absentmindedly put them somewhere and forgotten. You will never lose them because they live in you.
The soul crushing hurt that burns your lungs with every breath you take comes from knowing where they are and not being with them.
The ugly and real definition of grief is being left behind.
I'm sorry they left you.
I'm sorry you are alone.
I'm sorry it hurts to breathe.
Loss; it doesn't even compare.
She was my first love.
She is my last love.
I am an empty husk who pretends to be filled with enough love for those of us she left behind.
Our little girl and newborn son need me.
I am both mother and father now.
I am hollow and empty.
I am a shell.
So why does the girl with the face of an angel and eyes that mirror my emptiness, look at me like I'm her everything?

This was an incredibly moving and heartbreaking story.  This book picks up right after Josh's wife dies, and it was so so sad.  I have read many books about grief, but this one was so touching.  Josh basically shuts down after Laura dies, and basically shuns his whole family. Until finally, almost a year alter, he realizes that he has to get his life together, and he moves the family to Ibiza.
And then he meets Halle.  Halle is drawn to him, but at the same time, he is a bit of a jerk to her.  The inner turmoil Josh feels as he starts to have thoughts and feeling for Halle is saw real and raw.  Watching the relationship grow, and seeing Josh come back into himself was such and incredible journey.

This book is available now, and I highly recommend it.  It is an incredibly well written, heart breaking story about grief, and moving on.  Grab it now!!!

The author is also having a giveaway for $25 giftcard to Amazon!!  So make sure and enter.
