Lost Rider
by Harper Sloan

Lost Rider is the first book in a new series by Harper Sloan.  I am a huge Corps Security fan, so I was excited when I heard about this one.
Synopsis:
In Lost Rider, the first Western romance in New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Harper Sloan’s Coming Home series, an injured rodeo star encounters an old flame but will she be just what he needs to get back in the saddle?

Maverick Austin Davis is forced to return home after a ten-year career as a rodeo star. After one too many head injuries, he’s off the circuit and in the horse farming business, something he’s never taken much of a shine to, but now that it’s his late father’s legacy, familial duty calls. How will Maverick find his way after the only dream he ever had for himself is over?

Enter Leighton Elizabeth James, an ugly duckling turned beauty from Maverick’s childhood—his younger sister’s best friend, to be exact, and someone whose heart he stomped all over when she confessed her crush to him ten years back. Now Leighton is back in Maverick’s life, no longer the insecure, love-stricken teen—and Maverick can’t help but take notice. Sparks fly between them, but will Leighton be able to open her heart to the one man who broke it all those years ago?

Written in the vein of Diana Palmer and Lindsay McKenna, this Texas-set series is filled with sizzle, heart, and plenty of cowboys!

This is definitely a western romance.  I adored the characters from the very beginning.  Leighton was fun and sassy, and she cracked me up.  But also broke my heart just a little bit.  And Maverick was sexy and troubled, and he came across as a douche in the beginning, but I quickly fell for him.  This is a great second chance romance with tins of back story!  This story has all the fells.  Tons of heartbreak, and new beginnings.  It also introduces us to several new characters I can't wait to get more of!!!

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for more in this series.  It is sexy and fun, and lots of swoon!!  This book releases tomorrow, and is available for pre order now!

The Hot Shot
by Kristen Callihan

I love this whole series and I couldn't wait for this book, all the books in this series can be read as a stand alones.

Synopsis:
First we were friends. Then we were roommates. Now I want more...
What can I say about Chess Copper? The woman is capable of bringing me to my knees. I know this about five minutes after getting naked for her.

No one is more surprised than me. The prickly photographer my team hired to shoot our annual charity calendar isn't my usual type. She's defense to my offense, a challenge at every turn. But when I'm with her, all the regrets and darkness goes away. She makes life fun.

I want to know Chess, be close to her. Which is a bad idea.
Chess is looking for a relationship. I've never given a woman more than one night. But when fate leaves Chess without a home, I step up and offer her mine. We're roommates now. Friends without benefits. But it's getting harder to keep our hands off each other. And the longer we live together the more I realize she's becoming my everything.

Trick is... Now that I've made her believe I'm a bad bet, how do I convince her to give this player a true shot at forever?

I loved this book!!  I was completely sucked in from the beginning.  I loved the development of the relationship, from friendship to more.  Chess was such a different character, she was stubborn and sassy, and she cracked me up.  Finn Mannus is super swoony, but somewhat frustrating!!  There was a huge portion of the book where I wanted to scream at both of them.  I also loved getting a little bit of Dex and Fiona from the previous book.  This book is a great blend of sexy, sweeet and angst!  I highly recommend it.

This book is live and available now.

The Player
by K. Bromberg

I am a huge fan K Bromberg fan, so I was super excited to read this one.  This book made me swoon hard, reminiscent of Driven.

Synopsis:
Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.
So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in the renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.
Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.
And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to side in the club’s best interest if he’s ready to play.
But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat or is one of them bound to get burned?

I fell instantly got Easton.  He was incredibly relatable and I loved him.  His struggles and how he deals with everything thrown at him, makes me want to hug him. I felt like Easton and Scout were a great match, they are both trying to live up to there fathers legacy.  I loved seeing the relationship progress and both of them figuring out who they really are.

This is book 1 in a duet and it does end in a cliffhanger.  I loved this book and cannot wait for more, the end almost killed me!!

Ain't He Precious
by Juliette Poe (Sawyer Bennett)

This is a sweet southern story that I really loved, Sawyer Bennett wrote this under the pen name Juliette Poe.  At first I didn't understand that, but I can honestly say it was like reading a book by a completely different author.

Synopsis
Welcome to Whynot, North Carolina, population 3,872. It has one stoplight, one bar, and the one-and-only Trixie Mancinkus.

Eleven years ago, Trixie graduated Harvard Law, turned down a job offer from one of the most prestigious law firms in Boston, and headed home to Whynot to open her own firm. Not only did she leave behind the big city, but she also left her boyfriend of three years. And just so we’re clear… that would be me.

So what am I doing in Whynot at this very moment? It seems Trixie needs help with a legal case and for some insane reason, she called on me for assistance. I’ve been in town for five minutes, and I’m every bit as out of place as I feel. Trixie is all sweet, southern curves to my tailored suits and high-priced haircuts. It’s a culture clash of north versus south and about the only thing we have in common is our physical attraction to each other.

But I have a new motto since coming to Whynot: When life hands you lemons, all you need is a little sex and sweet tea to make things better.

This is a sweet second chance story.  I loved all the characters.  Trixie is the epitome of southern belle.  And Ryland was a big city boy who never got over Trixie leaving him 11 years ago.
If you are looking for a sweet second chance romance, this is a great one.  I can't wait for more in this series.
