The Catch
by K Bromberg

This is the much awaited follow up to The Player.  I loved The Player, and it ended on quite the cliffhanger, I couldn't wait to read the conclusion!

Synopsis:
After an unexpected twist of fate, All-Star catcher Easton Wylder is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him.

Even the woman who shares his bed, Scout Dalton.

But if Easton thought being uprooted to the last place he expected was the only challenge life had to throw at him, he was dead wrong.

With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything – Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome. The secret he’s never shared with anyone.

He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he’s hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.

I fell in love with these characters in The Player.  The Player ends with Easton being traded to and unknown team, and we had no idea how it was all gonna play out.  This book had all the feels!  Tons of twists and turns, and plendty of drama.  Every time I thought, they have it all figured out, something else would come up and rock the boat.  This was a beautiful ending to a great love story.  I loved this duet, and I would put it right up there with The Driven series.

Both books in this duet are available now.  The Catch cannot be read as a stand alone, you must have read The Player first.  I love them both and highly recommend them!!

The Impossible Vastness of Us
by Samantha Young

I am a huge Samantha Young fan, as well as a YA fan, so I was very excited to read this one.

Synopsis:
India Maxwell hasn’t just moved across the country—she’s plummeted to the bottom rung of the social ladder. It’s taken years to cover the mess of her home life with a veneer of popularity. Now she’s living in one of Boston’s wealthiest neighborhoods with her mom’s fiancé and his daughter, Eloise. Thanks to her soon-to-be stepsister’s clique of friends, including Eloise’s gorgeous, arrogant boyfriend Finn, India feels like the one thing she hoped never to be seen as again: trash.
But India’s not alone in struggling to control the secrets of her past. Eloise and Finn, the school’s golden couple, aren’t all they seem to be. In fact, everyone’s life is infinitely more complex than it first appears. And as India grows closer to Finn and befriends Eloise, threatening the facades that hold them together, what’s left are truths that are brutal, beautiful, and big enough to change them forever…

I really enjoyed this story, and the characters were awesome.  While there are some romance aspects in this story, it is really more about growing up and building relationships.  This is a great coming of age story about deciding who you are and what you want to be.
I loved how the relationship developed between India, Eloise, and Finn.  I also wanted a little more at the end.  This was a great story, but it ended a little abruptly for me.
This book is not out yet, but comes out next week and is available for pre order now.  Pre Order Link

Eight
by ES Carter

This is book 6 in the Love by Numbers series, but can be read as standalone.  We met Josh and knew a little of his story in previous books, and I couldn't wait to read more.

Synopsis:
I'm sorry for your loss.
Why do people say that?
When someone you love is taken from you, when a part of you dies along with them, you haven't lost them like you would your car keys or mobile phone. They aren't stuck down the side of the sofa or left in the ignition of your car for you to find later. You haven't absentmindedly put them somewhere and forgotten. You will never lose them because they live in you.
The soul crushing hurt that burns your lungs with every breath you take comes from knowing where they are and not being with them.
The ugly and real definition of grief is being left behind.
I'm sorry they left you.
I'm sorry you are alone.
I'm sorry it hurts to breathe.
Loss; it doesn't even compare.
She was my first love.
She is my last love.
I am an empty husk who pretends to be filled with enough love for those of us she left behind.
Our little girl and newborn son need me.
I am both mother and father now.
I am hollow and empty.
I am a shell.
So why does the girl with the face of an angel and eyes that mirror my emptiness, look at me like I'm her everything?

This was an incredibly moving and heartbreaking story.  This book picks up right after Josh's wife dies, and it was so so sad.  I have read many books about grief, but this one was so touching.  Josh basically shuts down after Laura dies, and basically shuns his whole family. Until finally, almost a year alter, he realizes that he has to get his life together, and he moves the family to Ibiza.
And then he meets Halle.  Halle is drawn to him, but at the same time, he is a bit of a jerk to her.  The inner turmoil Josh feels as he starts to have thoughts and feeling for Halle is saw real and raw.  Watching the relationship grow, and seeing Josh come back into himself was such and incredible journey.

This book is available now, and I highly recommend it.  It is an incredibly well written, heart breaking story about grief, and moving on.  Grab it now!!!

The author is also having a giveaway for $25 giftcard to Amazon!!  So make sure and enter.

Roommates with Benefits
by Nicole Williams

I am a huge fan of Nicole Williams, and I was excited to read this one!!

Synopsis:
Soren Decker. He’s the epitome of the “bad boy, good man” persona. The best of both worlds. The worst of them too. He’s the type of guy most girls wouldn’t mind sharing a confined space with, except my new roommate isn’t all swagger and chiseled abs.

He’s bossy. Messy. Cocky. Infuriating. Doesn’t believe in personal space. Has no qualms about roaming the apartment with a loincloth-sized towel cinched around his waist. Seems under the delusion he’s my personal protector (refer back to infuriating). He plays college baseball and holds down a part-time job—I don’t know where he finds the time to get on my nerves.

We have nothing in common . . . except our attraction to one another. And in six hundred square feet of shared space, the tension only has so much room to grow before one of us gives in to temptation. But really, what chance do a couple of young kids chasing their dreams in the big city have of making it?

Since Soren claims I know squat about sports (he might have a semi-point), here’s a stat for him—one in a million. That’s our odds.

This is a sweet friends to lovers story.  Hayden was a strong independent girl, who changed her whole life to chase her dreams.  She was a little naïve, but I really liked her.  Spren cracked me up.  He said what he was thinking, even when he shouldn't.  And he always apologized to her when he was in the wrong, which doesn't.  I wanted to scream at both of them at different points in the book.

This was a sweet, sexy story, with just the right amount of angst.  I loved the characters, even the supporting ones.  Nicole Williams writes such a great story that completely sucks you in!!!

This is live and available now and is a complete stand alone.

Wicked Favor
by Sawyer Bennett

Sawyer Bennett is an incredibly versatile author, she writes so many sub genres.  This one is a spin off an earlier series, but I have not read that one.  So you do not to have read that to read this one.  It is very sexy, with all kinds of twists and turns.

Synopsis:
As the owner of The Wicked Horse, an elite sex club located along the Vegas Strip, Jerico Jameson never spends the night alone. Gorgeous, ripped, and totally alpha, Jerico doesn’t grant favors and will rarely give you the time of day—unless he wants you in his bed. So when the sister of his sworn enemy shows up asking for help, saying no should be easy. But when Jerico takes one look at her and sees an opportunity to help this beautiful woman while exacting revenge on her brother, he’s not about to pass that up.

Beaten and bruised, Trista Barnes is running out of options, and Jerico is her last chance to get out of the mess she’s in. She doesn’t know why Jerico despises her brother so much, but as long as he can help her, she doesn’t care. Jerico offers her safety while opening her up to a sinful world she never knew existed.

As she succumbs to Jerico’s erotic charm, Trista lets herself fall into the wicked world of guilt free pleasure with no regrets. Under his strong alpha hand, she blooms, and so does Jerico’s possessiveness. But what happens when Trista finds out she was a pawn in Jerico’s game all along, and that the price for his favor was steeper than she ever imagined – her heart.

This book is incredibly sexy, but it is not smut at all,  There is a ton of story and great characters.  I love Jerico and Trista.  Jerico is a sexy, broken alpha.  In the beginning, he's cold and a bit a jerk.  But as we learn his story we know why he is that way and he starts to warm up, and I ended up loving him.
Trista is an innocent sweet girl when we meet her, but she is interested in the sex club.  Jerico introduces to the sinful world of the sex club.  The chemistry between Jerico and Trista is instant!!
This story in insanely sexy, with all kinds of twists and turns, and great characters.  There is going to be another book soon!!

This book is available now!!  Purchase Link

The Foxe and The Hound
by RS Grey

I love RS Grey, so I was so excited to read this one.  She writes the best light hearted romantic comedies.

Synopsis:
When your life is a hot mess at twenty, it’s cute. At twenty-seven…well, not so much.

It’s just that my lofty dreams—making it as a real estate agent, paying rent on time, showering daily—have stayed just that: dreams. Oh, and love? I’ve decided love might be a little ambitious for me at the moment. Instead, I’ve settled for the two guys who will never leave me: Ben & Jerry.

That is, until Dr. Adam Foxe takes up residence as the town’s new vet.

With his strong jaw, easy confidence, and form-fitting scrubs, it’s not long before every housewife in Hamilton is dragging neglected tomcats in for weekly checkups.

Like everyone else, I’m intrigued. Even after I spoil my chance at a good first impression, he still offers me a proposition I can’t refuse: play his girlfriend at a family function and he’ll hire me as his real estate agent. Welcome to love in the 21st century.

It’s too bad I underestimated Adam’s irresistible charm and the undeniable attraction that burns between us. The day he pins me to the wall and silences me with a kiss, the line between reality and ruse begins to blur. Every teasing touch brings me to my knees. Every kiss promises more.

It looks like my hot mess of a life is about to get a little hotter.

I love RS Grey, her books are hilarious.  I fell in love with Madeleine from the beginning.  She was so real, and I could totally relate,  Her life was a mess, and I wanted to scream at her, and at the same time hug her.  And Adam Foxe was so swoony, but also a bit of a mess.  He was the king of mixed signals, but he was also so loveable.  And he's a vet!!  I am a dog lover, so all the stuff with the dogs was so fun!!

This book is live and available now!  It is a complete stand alone, and if you are looking for a well written, light, romantic comedy, this is the perfect summer read!!
